    How It Works

Three steps, no upfront cost, and no invoice unless the rating disappears.

    01

    Send Us the Rating

Share your Google Maps link and point out the star-only ratings. We check the accounts behind them and tell you free of charge which ones are worth filing on.

    02

    We File and Escalate

We report each rating through Google's official channels with the account evidence attached, then appeal if the first pass is rejected. Most cases close in 3-7 days.

    03

Pay After the Rating Is Gone

You pay $449 USD per rating only after we confirm it has dropped off your profile. No deposit, no retainer, nothing if it stays.

What Is a Rating-Only Google Review?

A rating-only review is a star score left on your Google Business Profile with no words attached. Someone taps one star, or two, and moves on. There is no complaint to read, no order to look up, and nothing you can reply to in any useful way.

It still counts. Google treats a silent rating exactly like a written one when it calculates your average, so three quiet one-stars on a profile with forty reviews will pull your score down further than one long, angry paragraph would. Businesses often notice the number slipping before they notice why.

This is also the easiest kind of review to fake. There is nothing to write, nothing that can be fact-checked, and nothing that gives the poster away. That is exactly why rating farms, annoyed competitors, and people who never walked through your door use them.

The flip side is that a blank rating leaves no defence either. When there is no text, the case for removal is built entirely on the account behind it: who they are, what else they have rated, when they posted, and whether they ever had anything to do with your business.

What Types of Rating-Only Google Reviews Can Be Removed?

These are the rating cases we take on most often, and where the success rate is highest:

    • Ratings from accounts with no history, posted minutes after creation
    • Ratings left by people with no booking, order, or visit on your records
    • Clusters of low ratings that all landed within the same hour or day
    • Ratings from competitors, their staff, or anyone with a business interest
    • Ratings from former employees or people you were in a dispute with
    • Ratings tied to accounts that rate dozens of unrelated businesses in one sitting
    • Ratings left on the wrong business, usually a name or location mix-up
    • Ratings bought in bulk through a review broker or rating farm
    • Ratings left as leverage after a refund refusal or a demand for free service

Which Google Ratings Cannot Be Removed?

We would rather say no now than take on a case we cannot win. These stay put:

    • A quiet two-star from a customer who genuinely visited and did not enjoy it
    • A three-star from a regular who simply had an average day
    • A low rating you disagree with but cannot tie to any policy breach
    • A rating from a customer who never complained to you directly
    • A rating you suspect is fake but where the account looks entirely ordinary
    • A rating left years ago by a real customer you no longer remember

A low rating on its own is not a policy breach. Google protects a real customer's right to score you badly without explaining themselves. If your case sits in this column, we will say so in the free check and you will not be billed for anything.

How to Report a Rating-Only Google Review to Google

You can report a rating yourself, for free, and some business owners get results that way. It is worth knowing what the process actually involves before you decide.

    1. Open your Business Profile. Search your business name while signed in as the owner, or go through the Business Profile Manager.
    2. Find the rating in the reviews list. Star-only ratings appear alongside written ones, usually with just a name and a date.
    3. Use the Reviews Management Tool. This is the owner tool, not the small public flag icon. It lets you attach context, which the public flag does not.
    4. Pick the closest policy reason. Fake engagement, conflict of interest, or spam are the categories that fit most rating-only cases. Do not choose a reason that does not apply, because a wrong category is a fast rejection.
    5. Wait, then check the status. Google reports back through the same tool. A first decision usually takes a few days.
    6. Appeal if it is refused. The appeal is where most successful removals actually happen, because it is the stage where you can present the account evidence properly.

The sticking point is step four and step six. Reporting a blank rating with nothing more than "this is fake" gets refused almost every time, because Google has no reason to act on an assertion. The report has to show the pattern behind the account. That is the work we do.

How Long Does Rating-Only Google Review Removal Take?

Most of our rating-only cases finish in 3 to 7 days from the moment we file. Here is how that typically breaks down.

    24-72 hours

Obvious spam accounts and bulk rating farms. These match patterns Google's automated systems already track.

    3-7 days

The usual case: one or two suspicious ratings that need account evidence and a properly argued report.

    7-21 days

Cases that need an appeal, or coordinated attacks where each account has to be documented separately.

Two things slow a case down: ratings from accounts that look ordinary at first glance, and profiles with recent removal activity, which Google tends to review more carefully. Your average score updates within a few hours of the rating coming off.

What Happens If Google Rejects Your Rating Removal Request?

A rejection on the first report is normal, and it is not the end of the case. For rating-only reviews it is more common than not, simply because there is no text for a reviewer to read and the default answer is to leave content in place.

    What we do next:

    • Re-read the refusal. The reason given tells us which policy Google assessed. If they checked the wrong one, we refile under the right clause.
    • Strengthen the account evidence. More rating history, clearer timing overlap, or a documented link to a competitor or ex-employee.
    • Add your own records. Booking systems, POS exports, or enquiry logs showing no matching customer around that date carry real weight.
    • File the formal appeal. This goes to a different review queue with the full evidence pack attached.
    • Escalate where it applies. If the rating is part of an extortion attempt or a coordinated attack, it goes down Google's legal removal pathway.

If we exhaust every route and the rating stays, you owe nothing. We will also tell you plainly when we have reached that point rather than keep the case open indefinitely.

How Does Our Rating-Only Google Review Removal Service Work?

You send us the link. We check the ratings you are worried about and come back with a straight answer on which ones we think we can remove. Nothing is charged for that check.

If you go ahead, we handle the filing, the evidence, the follow-up and any appeal. You get a client dashboard showing the live status of every rating in your case, and a case manager you can message directly rather than a ticket queue.

When a rating comes off, we send you the confirmation and the invoice at the same time. $449 USD per removed rating. If it does not come off, there is no invoice at all - no assessment fee, no retainer, nothing held on file.

We use Google's own reporting and appeal systems, and nothing else. We do not post reviews, we do not contact reviewers, and we do not touch anything that could put your listing at risk.

How Much Does Rating-Only Google Review Removal Cost?

$449 USD per removed rating, billed after the removal is confirmed. That is the whole price list.

    $0

Upfront. No deposit, no retainer, no assessment fee.

    $449 USD

Per rating, invoiced only after it is confirmed off your profile.

    $0 if we fail

If the rating stays up, you never receive an invoice.

A rating with no text costs the same as one with a long complaint, even though it takes more digging on our side, because the account research replaces the text analysis. If you have several ratings from the same attack, each one that comes off is billed separately.

Why Choose BGR REMOVAL for Rating-Only Google Review Removal?

    You risk nothing

$0 upfront and $449 only after the rating is confirmed gone. If it stays, you never see a bill.

    Account research, not guesswork

With no text to work from, the case lives or dies on the account behind the stars. That research is the core of what we do.

    Straight answers first

We turn down cases we do not think we can win, and we tell you which of your ratings are genuinely worth filing on.

    Appeals are included

First-pass refusals are routine on silent ratings. The appeal is part of the same fee, not an extra.

    You can see the case

A dashboard with live status on every rating, direct messaging with your case manager, and confirmation the moment one drops off.

    Official channels only

No fake reviews, no pressure on reviewers, nothing that puts your Business Profile at risk.

Not sure which of your ratings qualify? Read how the process works or send us your profile link for a free check.

Rating-Only Google Review Removal Case Studies

Three recent cases, anonymised. They are typical of the rating-only work we take on rather than best case examples.

    Dental practice

Four one-star ratings with no text landed over a weekend, none matching any patient on file. The accounts had each rated the practice and two nearby clinics within the same twenty minutes. All four came down on appeal and the profile went back from 4.3 to 4.8.

    Boutique hotel

A wave of silent one-stars followed a public argument with a former supplier. The accounts had almost no rating history and were geographically scattered. We documented the timing against the dispute and Google removed the group.

    Contractor

A single one-star with no words came from someone who had only requested a quote and never booked. The enquiry record and the message thread were enough to show no service ever took place, and the rating was removed inside a week.

Results depend on the evidence available and the policy breach involved. We assess each rating on its own facts before taking a case on.
